Cats Walk the Halls

Opinion

Did you know about 47 percent of pet owners in America own cats? Most of the time when someone owns a cat they really have a bond.
Imagine how less stressed it can make a student feel if they could bring their cat to school. In my opinion it could help a lot, if I was taking a test and had my cat next to me it’d make me feel much better about taking that test.
Believe me or not, but it would. Cats can relieve loneliness, so kids at school wouldn't feel so bad if they didn't have lot of friends also.
Students carry a lot of anxiety too, petting a cat can relieve that awful feeling. Making your school day go by faster.
“It’s needed definitely, because cats are awesome,” says Samantha Weeks (‘15).  She was very ecstatic of the idea.
“You know what, that’d be cool. It would be a great opportunity for people to feel better about themselves, unless they scratch your head. That will make you feel worse,” says Nicole Tucker (‘15), having a up and down look on the idea.
“I do not really want cats in school, my allergies would act up,” says Katie Koppel (‘15). A way to solve that problem is we can have it so students would sign up if they want to bring their cat to school and we can have a certain part of the school just for that so students with allergies would not have to worry.
