Students Talk on Spring Sports

Spring sports can really be a big deal for people in high school. It really is a big deal, especially for seniors, because unless they go and play on in a university, this could very be the last time they ever play this sport competitively ever again.
That could really be upsetting for those who are truly passionate about what they play. It could be the very last time that they ever play that sport with their friends and classmates ever again.
As much as this could bring somebody down, this could also be very uplifting and inspire some people to try even harder and work even harder than they normally would. They could not only work harder during the season, put perhaps prepare twice as much in the off season and preseason.
There are a variety of sports that people could play in the spring season, or perhaps even watch if they have friends and/or family that will be playing. “I’m looking forward to watching my sister play soccer this season,” says Hannah Stephens (‘15).
Although some just like to watch, some like to do both. A lot of people end up watching the racing and other events unfold if they are a part of track because they have to wait around for their event.
“I like watching people as I wait for my event,” says Alyssa Kippen (‘16). If someone watches their teammate do their event really well, it might just inspire them to do just as well when their event comes around.
Even though there could be lots and lots of hype for upcoming spring sports, a lot of people might not show any interest at all, which is a little disappointing seeing as though how much this school’s athletes work and practice. The athletes of this school look forward to working hard and showing off their achievements, but it all goes to waste when our student body does not even show up to support them.
Spring sports are the just around the corner, “I just can’t wait,” Anthony Ayers (‘17). The anticipation builds up as we come closer and closer to the time for our spring sports to shine.
